How GoMining Maintenance Costs Work
Maintenance reduces economic mining income whether paid from BTC rewards or a GOM balance. Separate electricity, service and eligible discounts, then count the currency actually spent.

Start with dated inputs and units
Fictional example, 14 October 2026: 100 TH, 20 W/TH, electricity USD 0.05/kWh, service USD 1.60/day, an assumed eligible 10% discount, gross 100 sats/TH/day, BTC USD 100,000 and GOM USD 0.40. Use 30 unchanged days. These are teaching inputs, not current quotes or your account.
Convert power into an electricity bill
100 TH at 20 W/TH uses 2,000 W, or 2 kW. Over 24 hours that is 48 kWh, costing USD 2.40/day. At 15 W/TH it costs USD 1.80/day: USD 0.60 less before discounts. GoMining’s public 8 TH example independently gives USD 0.192 and USD 0.144/day at those efficiencies. Its rate wording says kW; the dimensional calculation needs USD/kWh.
100 × 20 ÷ 1,000 × 24 × 0.05 = 2.40 USD
100 × 15 ÷ 1,000 × 24 × 0.05 = 1.80 USD
GoMining Docs: energy efficiency ↗Include service and the eligible fee base
Electricity USD 2.40 plus service USD 1.60 is USD 4.00/day. Apply the fictional 10% discount to both only if eligibility confirms that base: USD 3.60/day. Gross 0.00010000 BTC is USD 10.00/day; economic surplus is USD 6.40/day, or 0.00192000 BTC over 30 days if fees come from BTC. This excludes purchase cost, taxes and other fees.
(2.40 + 1.60) × (1 − 0.10) = 3.60 USD
(0.00010000 − 3.60 ÷ 100,000) × 30 = 0.00192000 BTC
GoMining Docs: maintenance fees and discounts ↗GOM payments spend a separate balance
Paying USD 3.60/day at GOM USD 0.40 spends 9 GOM/day, or 270 GOM in 30 days. The BTC payout may retain the full gross 0.00300000 BTC, but the separate USD 108 token expense still counts. It is not a second profit stream or free maintenance.
The provider describes token discounts up to 20%, depending on coverage and eligible payment settings; insufficient spendable tokens cause BTC fallback without that token discount. Locked holdings are not spendable reserves. A fictional 900 liquid GOM covers 100 days at 9/day; at USD 0.20/GOM the same fees use 18/day and cover 50 days. Eligibility can change; do not infer it from this simplified example.
GoMining Docs: maintenance fees and discounts ↗Check base, downside and lower-cost cases
Base: USD 3.60 fees and USD 6.40 surplus/day. No eligible discount: USD 4.00 fees and USD 6.00 surplus. Electricity USD 0.07/kWh with 10% discount: USD 4.464 fees and USD 5.536 surplus. At 15 W/TH with unchanged service/discount: USD 3.06 fees and USD 6.94 surplus. With BTC USD 30,000, base gross is USD 3.00: USD 0.60/day remains unfunded, or USD 18 over 30 days. Zero retained BTC does not erase that gap.
Verify before using your own numbers
Primary documents checked 14 October 2026; arithmetic reproduced independently. Confirm dated rewards, TH, efficiency, electricity/service rates, discount bases, payment setting and spendable reserves. Token purchases, conversion spreads and price changes carry costs and risk. Upgrade savings are not payback without the upgrade quote. Use the matching manual fields in Day One or Day Two+; links do not change inputs or saved scenarios. No purchase, guaranteed income or account verification is implied.
